L&N Depot’s 100th Anniversary Launches Window Restoration Campaign
For 100 years, the L&N Depot has been a cornerstone of history, travel, and community. As we celebrate this centennial milestone, we are embarking on a critical restoration project to preserve one of the depot’s most iconic architectural features—the windows.
Restoring the Windows: Preserving the Past, Protecting the Future
Generations of travelers, workers, and families have passed through the L&N Depot, looking out through its historic windows at the journeys ahead. These windows are more than glass and frames—they are storytellers, preserving the experiences of those who came before us.
Over time, weather and age have taken a toll, leaving many windows in need of renovation. The metal-framed windows require restoration, deteriorating wooden windows need replacement, and without these crucial updates, the depot is vulnerable to further damage.
To ensure the depot stands strong for another century, we have launched the 2025 Campaign, with a goal of raising $155,000 for this restoration effort.
