Historic RailPark & Train Museum

 

OCTOBER

1 – sHOw Model Train Club – Meets at 10am in the Michael Buchanan Meeting Room at the L&N Depot.  Anyone interested in model trains is invited to attend.

2 – 91st Anniversary– Open House 2-4pm to celebrate L&N Depot 91st Anniversary

20-29 – Haunted Lantern Train Tours– Back this October for the second year with the Haunting of the Hoboes!  Our restored railcars will each host a character or storyteller that will share a tale with you. These historical tales come straight from the old days of train travel.  Evening tours are 6-9pm.

20 – Family Fun Night –Haunted Lantern Tours – 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Dress up in your favorite Halloween costumes and bring the whole family out for a spooky and fun tour.  Get your photo taken with the Ghostbusters!  Enjoy games and concessions provided by Potter Gray Jr Optimist Club.  Thanks to our sponsor State Farm Insurance Agent JR Wade, admission is half price.

22 – JUNK’tion Market– Fall Sale 9am-4pm – Upscale Crafters Shopping Event, Vendor space is available.

27 – White Squirrel Brewery Night –Haunted Lantern Tours – 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  If you are looking for a little more SCARE, it will be on tap that night.  Guest will have the option to purchase enjoy food and beer prepared by White Squirrel Brewery. Tickets for this special night are $15 and include a souvenir pint glass. Pint glasses are limited and only available for the first 100 tickets purchased for this night.  Advance ticket purchase is recommended.

NOVEMBER

1-4 – Early Polar Express Registration Opens – Open to RailPark Members ONLY. Call or visit us 10am-4pm to get your tickets.

5 – Polar Express Registration Opens – Non-members may register for tickets 10am-2pm in-person only.  Tickets are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.

12 – All Aboard Series – Meets at 10am in the theater at the L&N Depot.   Charles Castner will have a feature story about him in the winter issue of Classic Trains. He will show slides and talk about the L&N in Kentucky.  This event is free and open to the public thanks to our sponsor Leo Eggleton Accounting and Financial Service.

18-20 – BookFair at Barnes & Noble –Shop at Barnes & Noble in Bowling Green.  A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit programming and events at the RailPark.

28-30 – Polar Express – Nightly storytime held at the L&N Depot.  This is a free event but advance ticket registration is required.

DECEMBER

26 – Brunch with the Bunny – Brunch, story time, photos and egg hunt.  $12.95 adult tickets, $7.95 child ticket, 2 and under FREE.  Brunch is catered by Wild Eggs.  Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 270-745-7317.

28 – NRHS– Meets at 6:30pm in the Michael Buchanan Meeting Room at the L&N Depot.  Anyone interested in the history trains is invited to attend.
